The idea for Bow & Stern was derived from my Navy background. My goal for the brand was to create a supreme quality hygienic male product while being environmentally friendly. The identity of Bow & Stern is of a 1960's popular male with a traditional barber look and feel. The concept for the packaging is to create an earth friendly paper-mache packaging. I attained this by creating my paper-mache with rice paper and utilizing recycled paper for my label. The carvings on the soap and packaging texture are created by hand.
